Epic Home Made Pizza

Alright, so this is definitely an 'add what you like' kind of recipe. I like to make my own dough so all parts of my creation can be adjusted to my liking (thin crust, thick crust, crispy... you get the point)!

Pizza Dough

250 g all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
5g/ 1/2 tsp of yeast
125 ml warm water
2 tbsp of olive oil

First, add the dry ingredients and mix. Then create a well in the centre of the bowl. Combine the oil and water, then pour in the well. I used my hands and just kneaded the dough for about 5 minutes.

When finished place dough on cookie sheet and cover top with oiled cling film. Place in a warm area (like in front of a warm oven or a room heater) for about 30 minutes to let it rise.

When ready, roll out dough on floured surface. If you're looking for a thin crust pizza I suggest using a fork to prick the dough when rolled. This recipe will make 2 good sized pizzas

Toppings

In the meantime prepare the toppings as you wish. For this recipe, I used:

A couple tbsp of pesto from a jar
Sun dried tomatoes in oil (don't be afraid to use a bit of oil on the pizza)
Artichoke hearts from a can, chopped.
A big ball of buffalo mozzarella
A few slices of ham
Tomato Slices

All amounts can be varied as you like!

P.S Freeze the leftovers for lunches in class!
